Thunderstorm is one of the most respected bands of the Doom Metal scene, a power-trio whom previous four albums had enthusiastic reviews by all the main metal magazines (all of the albums were 10-Dynamite on Rock Hard !) and who has played in a lot of prestigious festivals and gained the devotion of the underground fans. Here comes “Nero Enigma”, fifth album by Thunderstom. In this new work, once again produced by the band in the New Sin Audio Design studios (Labyrinth, Vision Divine, Domine, Eldritch, Dark Moor..), the style of the band maintains its own Doom Metal identity, but it’s enriched by a more powerful and varied sound, stronger and louder than before, with hints of classic Heavy Metal, a frontal impact and lyrics linked to the Italian horror/thrillers movies. A sinister character is crawling through our society. A mysterious murderer, innocent victims and morbid rage are the themes of a terrifying concept album. A song for each murder, a murder for each song. The title track “Nero Enigma (The beginning)” opens this obscure novel with its colossal riffs : the heroes of the underground Doom Metal are back ! The following “When April Dies” explodes in a mix of Doom, Power and classic Heavy Metal, with head-crashing riffs and vicious refrains. “Ophrys” drives the listener into a spiral epic atmosphere, marching brave to “5o25” , a strange track where you can hear a desperate woman crying. Then there’s “Shallow”, where life in meaningless, and death is needed, delicate and fatal like a spider web. Songs like “The Trial of Life”, “Mechanical Delights” and “Monologue” will bring you into a new dimension of terror and iniquity. “Modus Operandi” is your last clue, will you be able to follow the trail of blood and find the answers? I need somebody to solve my Nero Enigma!
All our licensed merch is packed and posted directly by our small team at our Manchester unit. Each order is carefully packed in recyclable paper packaging or biodegradable materials and then sent via Royal Mail.
