His tragic death in 1990 only emphasised his influence in blues and American rock & roll. Fresh out of rehab, and midway through a two-year trek during the Live Alive Tour, Vaughan provided fans with one of his best ever performances for the Mardi Gras, New Orleans on 28th February 1987.
