Grammy-nominated blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter Joe Bonamassa has enjoyed an enormously successful career to date, starting at just age 12 when he opened for B.B. King in 1989. Having since recorded over 15 solo albums (11 of which have hit No. 1 on the Billboard Blues chart), Joe Bonamassa remains a prolific act revered for his virtuosic playing and soul-stirring live performances. In 2012 Joe Bonamassa released his tenth studio album, Driving Towards Daylight. Billed as a ‘back-to-basics’ album that focused on blues, roots, and rock & roll, the album featured versions of songs originally recorded by the likes of Tom Waits, Buddy Miller and Howlin’ Wolf, alongside three of his own original compositions. The album debuted at number 2 in the U.K. and number 1 on the U.S. Blues album chart. He quickly followed the release up with Seesaw in 2013, his second collaborative album alongside Beth Hart, that received a Grammy Nomination for Best Blues Album. Despite a seemingly hectic recording schedule, Bonamassa continued to tour extensively following the release of Driving Towards Daylight and Seesaw, embarking on over 80 dates across North America, South America and Europe in 2013. The shortest stint of these was the South American tour, where Bonamassa played just 5 shows across Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Chile. Anticipation for the short stop was nevertheless feverish, especially in Chile where Joe Bonamassa had not yet performed live.
