The album Mother’s Monster by hard-rockers Crossplane sets new standards in terms of raw energy and uncompromising sound. Waldemar Sorychta, who has worked for legendary bands such as Lacuna Coil and Tiamat, contributed to the album’s unique sound as producer, bringing his musical expertise and creative vision to take Crossplane’s sound to a new level. Together with Dennis Köhne, who was responsible for mixing and mastering alongside Sorychta, he created a sonic masterpiece that shines through in every note.
Mother’s Monster’s songs are characterized by powerful guitar riffs, driving rhythms and the raw, unmistakable voice of frontman Marcel “Celli” Mönnig. But behind this impressive energy is also the signature of Sorychta, who shaped the sonic force as producer. This close collaboration lends the songs a special depth and dynamism that is immediately transferred to the listener. The album gets under your skin thematically: in his lyrics, Marcel Mönnig processes the monsters of his childhood and deals intensively with personal dark sides.
