Filmed and recorded in one of Europe’s premier live venues, De Boerderij in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, Requiem For A Night captures Karnataka at the peak of their live powers with a stunning near 2 hour performance that encompasses tracks from their critically acclaimed albums, including the 25 minute title track of the band’s most recent studio album Requiem For A Dream. “This album is a celebration of the connection between the band, the audience, and the music itself,” says Karnataka founder and bassist Ian Jones. “Each performance on this tour felt like a shared journey, and Requiem For A Night captures that magic – the intensity, the fragility, and those special moments that can only happen live. I think we managed to capture lightening in a bottle.”Featuring state of the art concert lighting, the concert was filmed in beautiful 4k detail with a 30 camera production. The Blu-ray and DVD both feature bonus extras: an ‘on the road’ documentary and the stunning promo video for The Night’s Dance in both standard and widescreen versions.The album was mixed by Joe Gibb, highly regarded as a world class engineer who has worked with many prestigious artists including Massive Attack, The Cure and Leftfield.
