Prominent Italian black metal band active since 1992, Necromass has always represented the occult and uncompromising wing of European black metal. Their early contributions to the genre are significant still today for their technical skills and intensity and their debut album, the legendary “Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana” is regarded as one of the classic 90s black metal records. The band in its first run was active between 1992 and 1999 and released two full albums and several EPs. “Across The Veil Of The Past” is a collection of the “Connected Body Pentagram” demo, the “His Eyes” and “Bhoma” EPs, the experimental “Chrysalis Gold” EP, the pre-production demos of “Abyss Calls Life” and a couple of rare live-tracks recorded in 1996. Part of this material has been published in various reissues through time but with “Across The Veil Of The Past” finds its place in a single collection with a rich booklet with liner notes and pictures!
