Pink Floyd – ONTARIO (2CD) Compact Disc Double

In 1973, Pink Floyd released The Dark Side of the Moon, a studio album that brought them international acclaim. It marked a turning point in their sound and creative direction and quickly became a global phenomenon, going on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time. Two years later, they followed up with Wish You Were Here, a more introspective record that reflected on the pressures of the music industry and the absence of Barrett. Both albums were recorded at Abbey Road Studios and are often cited among the band’s most enduring and influential works.In support of the album, Pink Floyd embarked on a short North American tour from April to July 1975, a few months before the official release of Wish You Were Here. Each performance opened with early versions of tracks that would later appear on Animals (1977), alongside renditions of ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ and ‘Have a Cigar’ from the forthcoming album. After a short intermission, the band would return to perform The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, concluding the set with ‘Echoes’.
