The Varukers – THE DEMOS (CLEAR VINYL) Vinyl LP
£30.99
The ultimate retrospective spanning a quarter-century of uncompromising noise from the Royal Leamington Spa legends!Formed in 1979 in Leamington Spa by vocalist Rat Martin, The Varukers were vital architects of the “UK82” hardcore movement. Heavily inspired by early punk and NWOBHM, they paved the way for D-beat alongside Discharge (whom Rat would later front). Their music remains fiercely anti-authoritarian, fast, and heavy. This colossal 25-year retrospective functions as the definitive sonic timeline of the band’s relentless career. Spanning a quarter-century of UK hardcore, this double LP gathers 25 essential tracks. It charts their transition from early demos and incendiary early 80s releases to the pummeling, uncompromising output of their 90s and 2000s reformation.
