This Chinese punk band has been giving the authorities the finger for over 20 years. Their uncompromising sound quickly became known beyond the Middle Kingdom and reached Europe and the USA. After just 2 albums, a 10-year break and a best-of compilation, the third studio album is finally being released and it’s about damn time! A highlight of the band’s history was their appearance in 2009 as special guests on Sham 69’s China tour, which is no coincidence, as THE NONAME deliver the best 80s UK punk with lightning-fast beats and catchy choruses. “I Believe In Chaos” sounds like a tribute to The Clash, but it can also be harder and heavier. The Chinese cracker is supported by veterans of the alternative music scene from all over the world, who contribute their impulses and new nuances.”Waiting For The Day” was created together with the anti-fascist Spanish punk band Non Servium, which has already celebrated its 25th anniversary. The street hardcore band Acidez from Mexico, who have been around since 2003, shake things up against racism with “Anti” and call for creative resistance. From Amiland come Big D & Kids Table, founded in 1995, who contribute the best Boston ska-punk on “Scream To The World”. In addition to the musical fist in the face, they deliver a chant with almost poetic lyrics. The Parisian punk and power pop band The Choices are more melodic on “Warrior Of Faith”. Swedish street punks Perkele from Gothenburg, founded in 1993, take an anthemic approach on “Go Down”.No title could fit the lyrics better than ‘Fortress Besieged’. An already ailing regime of injustice is besieged until it collapses. The call to revolt is a cry for change and freedom, but also a celebration of the joy of life in a chaotic and exciting existence. Anyone who misses this album is missing out on a piece of punk history.
